When it comes to Holidays, I try to focus less on the gifts and more on ways to create memories. We can spend a lot of money and at the end of the day have nothing to show for it and no use for it. However a memory, no matter how inexpensive, will never go away.
I created this outfit on Polyvore. I can see myself wearing this for the Love Holiday. With a nude lip, pink nail polish and very loose curls.
People tend to complain about Valentines Day because they find themselves spending it alone. I went on a very long stretch for years with no Valentine. I never sat around moping all sad and depressed and hating LOVE. I spent that time alone and treated myself, whether it was dinner, a movie or a gift. Another year, my friends and I decided to get together and have an all girls night because we were all single but comfortable enough to enjoy the time together.
Don't blame LOVE for your current situation. Don't blame LOVE because nobody asked you to be their Valentine. Be your own Valentine and embrace doing it.
WHAT ARE YOUR PLANS FOR VALENTINES DAY THIS YEAR?
According to my Valentines Poll the Majority of you are spending this holiday alone.

Here are a few ideas to get you through this day with a little ME time.
- Treat yourself to a spa day: Massage, Facial, Mani + Pedi, Schedule a Hair Appointment
- Buy yourself flowers : ($5 - $10 at Walmart. If you prefer a wider selection to choose from try your local florist and search online for local coupons to save yourself a little money)
- Order your favorite take out ($10-$20)
- Pick up a bottle of Wine, your choice ($15-$50)
- Take a nice warm bubble bath with nicely scented candles
- Put on your favorite Perfume or Body Spray
- Get Dressed in something comfortable to relax
- Rent 2 or 3 funny movies from RedBox ($1 per movie)
If you have other single friends, make this a girls sleep over and do all things mentioned above but also exchange one gift. Make a bowl with names and pick a name and give that one friend the gift you bought.
For some this is an emotional holiday but Valentines Day is what you make it.
